"I was improvising at the piano in my family's living room in Tórshavn. My parents were next to me, watching a TV show. The show took place in Greenland, and I was kind of following what was happening out of the corner of my eye while playing.

I felt the music I was playing fit so well with what was happening, so it became inextricably linked in my mind. I was unable to play the piece without seeing the icy Greenlandic landscape in my mind's eye.

Glaciers is about the melting ice. It's about what we're doing to our planet and how it's all about to wash away."
