Never Quite the Same is a generative sound installation programmed in Max. After the different modules of the installation are set into motion, the sequence of musical events and the length of time between said events is determined at random — albeit from a curated selection of possibilities — and it continues into eternity unless it is stopped. Because of this random element, Never Quite the Same is unique every time it is staged.
