Bells is the last of the three works Eli Tausen á Lava composed during the initial stages of the COVID-19 pandemic. With the tempo marking Slow, it is also the fastest of the three pieces. Bells — which is based on the same thematic material as In Fog — enchants the listener with its steady rhythm and hypnotically repeating phrases.

The way the music is always returning to the note C reminds the composer of ringing bells, therefore the name.

Bells was premiered on 2 July 2020 by Eli Tausen á Lava at Tofta Skúli, Toftir, Faroe Islands.
